James Redman

James Redman is a Director in the firm's Risk and Compliance Services (RCS) Group with more than 12 years of experience. As a cybersecurity and IT compliance professional, he specializes in readiness consulting and assessments related to a variety of IT compliance standards, including, but not limited to, NIST, SOC 1/2/3, HITRUST, PCI, HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley.

He also has extensive experience with meeting and assessing third party security requirements. He spent three years at a large healthcare organization conducting vendor assessments, contract negotiations, establishing criteria for cloud and application security. He can break down complex security requirements and translate them into executable business requirements.

James provides an expert voice in managing IT security, compliance and business management requirements. He previously owned a consulting company where he provided IT advisory and audit services for organizations ranging from start-ups to multi-national public companies.

Prior to joining the firm, James was a manager and a leader in the technology consulting group at Lurie LLP, a Minneapolis-based accounting and advisory firm, which provided clients with solutions in accounting, audit, tax planning and wealth management, serving business leaders in a wide variety of industries including healthcare, professional services, technology, manufacturing, real estate and more. James played a key role in positioning Lurie to be an industry leader in the technology consulting space in the Upper Midwest.
